This noble pair are the product of the workshop of Joseph Angell, 1 and II. They are carefully copied from others made in the "tea-picker" pattern by the great Hugenot silversmith Paul de Lamerie. Each is repousse with the picker reaching upwards to pluck leaves from branches, and with other panels depicting pagodas. They are made with as great care and skill as the originals

Neither the Angells nor de Lamerie can have ever actually seen tea growing or they would have made a bush rather than a tree.
