This is a large well cut-casket of cuboid shape of a type sold in high-end Parisian retail stores in the Belle Epoque and earlier. It is cut with great skill with an overall diamond pattern but with carefully chamfered corners and finely star-cut base. Lid and base are banded with brass and it stands on paw feet. Despite its superior quality it is unmarked.
