This is a rare example of the work of Felipe Delfinger for Feder combining brilliantly the natural craftmanship of the Cuernavacan glass blowers with the taste for the bright, sanguine pallet of Mexico so evocative of that colourful land. The orange sun face, in moulded relief, is benign the stylised rays are shaped unlike the usual wedges of glass and are in alternating shades of blue and amber the whole piece is mounted on a metal lattice cylindrical backing which diffuses light and accentuates the colours. From the 60’s this Brutalist example is outstanding
