This Sheraton Revival writing table is beautifully and precisely made and is clad in well chosen decorative veneers. It on raised on square tapering legs united by stretchers and has three frieze drawers.
It is of striking quality. The ebony lines and stringing are excellently applied, the snug drawers are lined in oak. there is no signature but it is very reminiscent of the better makers of that period, such as Edwards and Roberts
Whilst it is a writing table, it could also be used as a console table; since it is veneered on all sides it could also stand in the middle of a room. It's a very versatile piece of furniture.
