These are romantic views.
The first is "Vue des Andelys et du Chateau-Gaillard (Eure)" Built in the 12th century by Richard Coeur de Lion to assert his claim as sovereign, it is now a ruin.
The second is " Pont de l'Arche (Eure)" Despite the attentions of the RAF in WWII this commune survives although the bridge itself was destroyed and rebuilt.
Eure is the name of the region.
These Sevres plates are scalloped, beautifully gilt and in excellent condition. Unlike more formal depictions of earlier in the century these have a more natural Romantic look. They are dated 1849.
