18th Century Baroque Walnut Three Drawer Commode
A 18th century Baroque three drawer commode.
Beautiful walnut veneer and boxwood inlays embellish this exquisite German baroque chest of drawers. The three drawer body with a rectangular outline, features curved feet and a straight apron. The slightly convex front has a corresponding top. The drawers are flanked by inlaid geometric columns at the four cut corners while the sides display a beautiful butterfly veneered burl Walnut design. The top displays a stunning and extremely decorative quarter veneered geometric design matching the front and sides. The result is a type of furniture that feels both monumental and refined: the German Baroque chest of drawers. With bold façades, expressive veneers, and a sculptural presence, these pieces were designed not merely as storage but as central elements within a room.
Place this commode in a living room, bedroom or along an empty wall for extra storage and surface space.
