Wishbone Chair by Hans J. Wegner, Hand-Crafted Danish Design, 1956

An extremely rare model "CH-24" / "Wishbone" chair from the very early years of the Carl Hansen & Sons production of Hans J. Wegner's iconic chair. The condition of this chair is amazing and it has only been gently cleaned and refinished. The chair retains the original woven paper cord seat. The carefully selected oak has the most amazing grain and quality as is only seen on these early examples of the wishbone chairs, when Wegner himself oversaw every detail in the production at the Carl Hansen & Sons workshop in Odense, Denmark. The chair is burn marked underneath from Carl Hansen & son.
