This set is taller than usual by a couple of inches, which adds a grace and elegance to their hefty construction. The bases are shaped and square; the stems are repousse with flower heads and leaves, and the base, stem and drip pan are each bordered with a leafy design. They are in very good condition for their age with just a touch of copper showing through at the high points. They are copies of the exuberant English style of the mid 18th century.
These are made by Ellis Barker; this plate mark was registered in 1912.
