These are cast and are both large and weighty. The four branches are worked with shells and scrolling acanthus, a motif repeated on the vase-shaped stem. And echoed on the raised base, on a circular foot.
This sumptuous pair are cast and finished to a very high standard. They were made in Montreal by siversmiths of Armenian origin, from a family long engaged in the fabrication of high quality iworks of art. They were originally commissioned by a prominent local family.
