Although unsigned and not large, this pair have a delicate charm and pleasing aspect that would make them a connoisseur's choice. The first of children and a dog, the second of a half timbered house and Saxon church. They are both very finely detailed and probably by the same hand. They were retailed by a celebrated gallery Scott and Son who flourished in the late 19th century. They were given to the last owners by a prominent local collector.
