This French opaline vase is attributed to Baccarat. It has an elegant slender baluster shape with blue decorated and gilt rim and foot. It compares very favorably in quality to others known to be by that famous factory. The painting of flowers is spectacular and reminiscent of that of Sèvres porcelain painters, some of whom went to Baccarat.
