The artist was born in the US but worked in Canada this pair of sculptural birds are also bookends. They each have a partially gilt finish and one has traces of red paint. .They have a very West Coast feel and remind me rather of. Emily Carr's TOTEM poles there is increasing interest in the work of women artists and we feel that these birds will be more appreciated in the future than they have been in the past. This particular model came in two sizes, this is the larger.
