This Classic set was made by the celebrated Jaques of London before 1855 and is the model with the desirable "dropjaw" horses designed by Anderssen. It is turned from boxwood and ebony in the Staunton pattern which to this very day is the accepted tournament standard. The size is ideal for the enthusiast, the king is 3.5 inches. Signed "Jaques London" on white King.
